    101019 - Summer Playground

    From June 11th - July 27th, 2018 Monday through Friday the Quincy Park District's Summer Playground program will be open to area children ages 5 -12yrs. This seven week program requires no enrollment fee for participation.
    The playground program will continue to be a "drop in" style of registration with the supervision of experienced playground leaders. Children will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of organized activities. Daily arts and crafts, outdoor games and special activities are provided for children. Fees will be charged for field trips, which take place on Fridays.

    Playground sites from 10:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m will be Johnson Park (18th & Harrison), Bob Mays Park (2533 N. 18th) and Berrian Park (14th & Chestnut).

    Afternoon sites will be from 1:00 p.m - 3:00 p.m. at Madison Park (24th & Maine), South Park (by Tennis courts, 11th & Jackson), and Reservoir Park (24th & Chestnut).

    101020 - Family Fun in the Sun

    Come join the Quincy Park District in Moorman Park at 6:00 p.m. for two Tuesday eveinings full of fun. During this program we will be bringing you two FREE fun filled evenings of family entertainment while you enjoy the great outdoors. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets.

    101021 - Special Populations

    The Quincy Park District is offering many exciting opportunities to enable children with disabilities to get out and have a great summer.

    The Special Pops Summer program is for children ages 6 - 13 yrs. with an IEP. The program is held M-F from 9:30am - 11:30am. Daily activities will be scheduled and visits to many local businesses will take place for field trips.

    Registration information will be sent home from school with your child. Registration information is available upon request from the Quincy Park District. Registration forms must be turned back into the Park District Office, forms should not be turned back in at the school and will not be picked up from the schools.

    Enrollment will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

    Adult Activities:

    Three dances will be held this summer for Adult Special Populations. All dances are held at Moorman Park, Large shelter from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.. Snacks and drinks are provided. (In case of rain the dances will be held in the Community Room at the Quincy Mall.)

    101022 - Natural-Born Explorers

    Get the kids outdoors and interacting with the natural world! Children will enjoy a variety of nature based activities while exploring the natural elements that make Quincy’s Parks beautiful.

    The program will be held on Wednesdays in July, starting on July 11, from 11:00am - 12:00pm.

    First Wednesday meets at South Park large shelter, following weeks will meet at other parks. Scheduled activities from previous years have included a nature interpretation tour in South Park, fishing in Moorman Park, examining the prairie restoration areas at Westview Golf Course and a nature interpretation tour of Bill Klingner Trail in Bob Mays Park.

    101025 - Co-Ed Soccer: Age 3-4

    Quincy Park District will be offering a soccer program for this spring. This program will take place at Boots Bush soccer complex. The goal will be attempting to play a full-length game as soon as possible, and of course, to learn and have fun! Volunteer coaches will be needed. The field dimensions are reduced to compensate for the size and speed of young children. Registration fee includes team shirt.

    FEES $25 BY 2/16, AFTER 2/16 $35

    101028 - Horsing Around

    Does your child love horses? Register him or her for 'Horsing Around.' Students will learn all about horses, feed, tack, doing chores, grooming, types of riding styles, and leading. They will also get to ride during the final class. This class will take place at the Quincy Equestrian Services & Therapy (QUEST) stables, 48th & Ellington Road, Quincy 62305.

    Quincy Park District Adult Soccer teams will play a total of 6 games at the Boots Bush Soccer Complex, 42nd and Maine. The game format is 11 on 11, and consists of two, twenty-five minute halves. Games will be played on Sundays, 1pm - 4pm. A team registration fee of $275 is due on August 24, and team rosters need to be completed and returned to 1231 Bonansinga Dr. by September 7.     102011 - Family Tennis Lessons

    Family Tennis Lessons are a unique program in which parents and their children can learn tennis fundamentals alongside one another. Madison Park offers the perfect setting to hold this program, with regulation and youth-sized courts side by side. Instructors will teach backhand, forehand swings, footwork, and allow for families to play together on the same court. REGISTRATION IS BY INDIVIDUAL, NOT BY FAMILY, and the cost is $14/person. 1 parent and 1 child is the minimum number of family members necessary to enroll.
