302005 - Resistance Increasing Strength Exercise

The American College of Sports Medicine and the Department of Health and Human Services recommend that Americans engage in strength training exercises at least two days each week. Strength training with resistance bands has unique benefits because the bands are portable and simple to use.

R.I.S.E. (Resistance Increasing Strength Exercise) is a fitness class that focuses on increasing strength and flexibility for the participants. We will be using resistance bands along with other routines to achieve this goal. This is class is for those who are looking for a more vigorous workout than the Park District's other fitness offerings. The class is led by Diane Giesing who has taught our summer L.I.F.E. sessions.

    R.I.S.E. meets (Tuesday, Thursday): 5:30-6:15 a.m. & (Saturday): 8:00-8:45 a.m.

    Pre-Registration is required.
